So bring your container between 12 and 1:30pm to these AMS food outlets - The Moon, The Pendulum, The Honour Roll, Bernoulli’s Bagels, The Gallery, and Blue Chip - and try your luck while helping change how food take-out is done on campus.

>> UBC Improv Show: “Sustainability!  A show for laughter and thinly-veiled moralizing”, the Norm Theatre @ 12pm

In classic UBC Improv "long form" style, the team will get sustainability-centered centered suggestions from the audience and subtly (or not-so-subtly) poke fun at all sides of the ongoing struggle to consume responsibly.  They’ll use comedy as a vehicle to promote critical thinking about sustainability and responsible consumption.

>> Panel Discussion “The Role of Institutions in Shaping a Sustainable World”, 1 - 3pm at location Wood 5

Institution such as the university and corporations have the most influence and largest impact on the future of the environment due to the scale of their decisions.  So, what are some ways in which they can reduce their ecological footprint?
In this panel, we hope to gain some insight into this issue from representatives of different types of institutions, ranging from the corporate to the non-profit sections, who will share with us their experiences and ideas.

>>
“Return of the Scorchers” Movie Night.  In the Bike Co-op @ 7:30pm.

B
efore automobiles ruled the roads, bicyclists were referred to as "Scorchers" because of their blazing speed.  A century later, in a world filled with car-related environmental and social problems, Return of the Scorcher discovers an inspired and evolving bicycling renaissance.  It questions our obsession with "progress" and status and presents a diverse cross-section of cycling visionaries who see the bicycle as a life-affirming vehicle for change.
