Think Before You Buy!


From March 19th to 23rd, Responsible Consumption Week challenges you to re-think the power of your everyday choices in shaping social and ecological health. Workshops, speakers and other events will explore the ethics of consumption and the responsibilities of government, business and citizens. The Vote With Your Dollar trade fair will fill the Student Union Building with inspiring businesses, non-profits and campus groups who are leading inspiring changes. THURSDAY March 15


>>Keynote Address: "Evolution or Revolution?" 12:30pm, AERL 120
Speakers: Dr. John Robinson and Dr. Bill Rees.

Through this event we hope to explore the interconnections between consumption and individual identity in order to reorient both towards a sustainable future. Our topic explores the relationship between perceptions and actions in the larger context of our rapidly changing climate.




MONDAY March 19

Through this event we hope to learn more about the ability each of us has to effect social change through our economic choices, and to impart a sense of empowerement through knowledge.?Our panelists, who include representatives from the business and non-profit sectors, will share their experiences and insights about the power of the consumer's economic vote.
