UBC Responsible Consumption is a student-run, non-profit organization that is not affiliated to any other groups. Our event is funded by revenue from our Responsible Consumption Fair, as well as generous grants from
Mountain Equipment Co-op and the AMS Resource Groups. We try to collaborate with as many campus groups as possible to bring diversity and creativity to the project. Some of these groups are:
- Student Environment Centre
- Sustainability Ambassadors
- Sprouts
- Oxfam UBC
- Residence Sustainability Coordinators
- En-Gage
- AMS Bike Co-op
- UBC Ancient Forests Committee
- UBC Engineers Without Borders
- UBC Friends of the Farm
- UBC Waste Management
Our principal donor, Mountain Equipment Co-op, is a leader in corporate social responsibility and sustainable business practices.
There is no such thing as small change. You have more choice and power than you imagine. Vote With Your Dollar.
Our longtime donor, the AMS Resource Groups, support innovative student projects that reflect the goals of the six resource groups: Colour Connected, Pride, Womyn's Centre, Student Justice Centre, Allies, and the Student Environment Centre.
